Sign up for the Financial iindependence Club: Women get investing

13 May 2019

An opportunity for women who’d like to start investing to find out more about making their money work harder.

Calling all women who’d like to start investing but don’t know where to begin!

If you’ve thought you really should be putting money into the stockmarket, but you’re not sure what’s involved or whether you have enough money, or you’ve got “stupid” questions that you’ve never had the opportunity to ask, this is your chance.

Moneywise's parent company interactive investor is collaborating with Legal & General Investment Management to host Financial iindependence Club: Women get investing – an informal opportunity for women to find out more about investing for the long term, in a relaxed and supportive environment.

As well as plenty of time for Q&As – and there’s no such thing as a stupid question, by the way – there will be short presentations by women working within ii and L&G, including Dame Helena Morrissey, head of personal finance at L&G, Moira O’Neill, ii’s head of personal finance, Faith Glasgow, editor of Money Observer magazine and Rachel Rickard Straus, editor of Moneywise.

They’ll be looking at why it’s so important that women make their money work harder for them and they will be sharing some of their own investment experiences.

They’ll also cover the basics that any beginner investor needs to know:

  • how to use your Isa allowance
  • how to choose a fund
  • why regular investing is the best way to start
  • five steps to get started

Date: Monday 24 June, 5pm to 7.30pm
Venue: Legal & General Investment Management, One Coleman Street, London, EC2R 5AA.

The event is free to attend, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so please register early to secure your space.
