Aspirant homebuyers and the just-plain-curious have been looking at some of the most expensive and luxurious properties listed on website Rightmove.

Here are the top 10 most-viewed properties on the Rightmove website in 2018. 

UK properties

1. Barrow Lane, Hale - £5 million

This four-floor and six-bed mansion on the outskirts of Manchester looks quite simply palacial. Comes with outdoor grilling area for all those sunny north-western days. 

The property has been listed on Rightmove since August 2017. 

2. Glenborrodale Castle, Scotland - offers over £3.75 million
