Pizza Express is offering a free pizza to everyone who downloads its new app and visits one of its restaurants.
What’s the deal?
Download the new Pizza Express app from Tuesday 27 March and you can get a free pizza from any of the chain’s UK restaurants.
The offer is available to anyone with an Apple or Android smartphone, simply download the app on Tuesday and activate the deal. You can only do this once and the voucher will be downloaded to the app, so take your phone to the restaurant with you.
There is no limit to the number of people who can use the deal at one sitting. So if you have a group of four friends, you can get four free pizzas as long as each friend downloads the app.
If you don’t like pizza, you can also redeem your voucher against a salad or pasta dish.
While this is an ongoing offer, the deal could be withdrawn at any time, so act fast.
Why should I care?
As people continue to have their wallets squeezed, eating out often becomes an unaffordable luxury. Even though you would have to pay for any drinks and sides you order, this deal is a good way to have an inexpensive meal out.
What’s the catch?
The offer can be used all day from Sunday to Thursday and entitles the app user to a free pizza with a classic or leggera base, to eat in the restaurant. Takeaway orders are not allowed.
The only real downside is that it takes six hours after you download the app for the voucher to be added. So if you want your free pizza in the evening, remember to download the app by the lunchtime.
You must use the voucher on the app within six weeks of downloading. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.
What are my other options?
If pizza isn’t your thing, you can see offers in a range of restaurants by reading the Moneywise guide to cheap eats.
This week there are offers from chains including Cafe Rouge, Frankie & Benny's, and Harvester.
