It’s been 10 years since the credit crunch, but over a third (36%) of Moneywise.co.uk users feel more worried about their finances now than a decade ago, according to our latest poll results.
Our poll didn’t ask readers to state why they are more worried now than in the past, but we’re in a period of low savings rates and high inflation, housing prices are still rising, and people may also be worried about what will happen to the economy when Britain leaves the EU.
Just two in 10 (20%) voters feel less worried about their financial situation than 10 years ago, while 19% feel the same amount of worry as they did when the credit crunch began.
A quarter (25%) of Moneywise users weren’t worried about their finances 10 years ago and aren’t worried about their finances now.
