Moneywise users review pensions and investments monthly

15 June 2017

Over a quarter (26%) of users review their pensions and investments every month, according to our latest poll results.

A further 22% check the performance of their savings on a weekly basis, 16% review theirs twice a year, and 18% look once a year.

The findings follow analysis from Fidelity International, which found that regularly reviewing and rebalancing your portfolio could boost your investment returns by almost 10% over 20 years .

However, some may not be dedicating enough time to managing their portfolios – 8% of the 477 people who voted said they review their pensions and investments less often than once a year, while 5% have never checked how their savings are doing.

An additional 5% said they don’t have investments or pensions.

See the pie chart below for the full results.
