Sainsbury’s is offering its customers ten times the usual amount of Nectar points when they shop in stone and online this bank holiday weekend.
What’s the deal exactly?
The May Day bank holiday has arrived and Sainsbury’s is holding a Nectar bonus weekend. This means customers will earn ten times the amount of points they normally would.
The offer runs from today, Friday 28 April, to Monday 1 May. Nectar card holders should simply swipe their cards as normal when shopping and extra points will be automatically added to their balance.
Why should I care?
Nectar normally rewards one point for each £1 spent so this bonus could boost your points total significantly, especially if you plan to make a big purchase this weekend. Each point is normally worth 0.5p. This May Day bank holiday deal is worth 5p on every £1 spent in Sainsbury’s.
The promotion applies to all spending in Sainsbury’s superstores, Sainsbury’s Local, petrol stations and online grocery orders which are over this bank holiday weekend.
What’s the catch?
Some exclusions apply as you can’t earn Nectar points on: spirits and liqueurs, first stage baby milk products, National Lottery, tobacco, TU clothing online deliveries, gift vouchers, gift cards, prescription medicines, over the counter medicines, postage stamps, savings stamps, mobile phone vouchers, phone cards, e top-up, pay point payments, charity products and car park tickets.
Points also cannot be earned on concessions in any Sainsbury’s store, such as Lloyds Pharmacy.
What other options do I have?
If you’re looking to boost your Nectar points total then eBay is offering six times its normal Nectar points over the weekend.
