Deal of the week: Valentine's Day deals special

10 February 2017

Love may be in the air but it doesn’t need to cost you a fortune. Here’s our guide to the best Valentine’s Day related freebies.

What’s the deal exactly?

Valentine’s Day is upon us and deals website Magic Freebies has compiled some of the best free giveaways for you and your other half.

  • Free Hotel Chocolat Valentine's Box with Quidco – worth £12.50. If your partner has a sweet tooth you can treat them to a free box of chocolates from Hotel Chocolat when you sign up with Quidco as a new customer. Pay for the chocolates, and you’ll be given the equivalent cashback. Offer is valid until Sunday 12 February.

  • Free Bar of Lindt Chocolate – worth £1.99. Just get the deal from the free Shopmium app. This is an ongoing offer and not specific to Valentine’s Day, so you can take advantage all year round.

  • Free Valentine’s Day Card from Moonpig with Topcashback – worth £10. New Topcashback users will get the cash back on a Moonpig card worth up to £10 – perfect for the love in your life. Offer is valid until Tuesday 14 February.

  • Money off a Deliveroo takeaway - worth £5. Food delivery service Deliveroo offers a £5 discount when you sign up for the first time and recommend a friend (or partner). This is perfect for a cheap Valentine’s evening meal. Even if you’re not planning on eating-in this Valentine’s Day this offer is on-going so you can get this discount at another time. The discount only applies to food, not delivery costs. If you're celebrating over the weekend, also see this week's Top Cheap Eats for restaurant vouchers and deals.

Why should I care?

Valentine’s Day can be an expensive event for many, so take advantage of any discounts. These deals alone could save you nearly £30, excluding any cinema savings you make.

What’s the catch?

The majority of these offers are all intended for new customers. So if you’ve used Topcashback, Quidco or Deliveroo before then you’re not eligible.

What other options do I have?

Many other shops have Valentine’s Day offers so look around and see if there’s a deal better suited to you.
