Moneywise launches Money Manual 2015

15 January 2015

Moneywise has launched a comprehensive guide to personal finance - the Money Manual 2015 - to help people at any stage of life master their money.

The Manual will help you take control of your finances, from opening your first savings account to buying a home and raising a family. Written as a step-by-step guide for every stage of your life, it will lead you through a complex, jargon-packed world, detailing how you can keep your finances fit and your wallet bulging.

"Whether you're clueless with cash or au fait with finance, you'll probably need help at some point when making financial decisions," said Mark King, editor of Moneywise and co-author of the Money Manual 2015.

"Get it right and you could not only save cash but make money. Get it wrong and you could struggle to pay the bills," added Laura Whitcombe, deputy editor of Moneywise and co-author of the Money Manual 2015.

To accompany the launch of the Manual, conducted a poll of almost 1,200 people that found that more than half (56%) are prioritising their savings in 2015, and for almost a quarter (23%) of people, getting out of debt will be the most important aspect of their personal finances in the year ahead.

One in ten (9%) said they wished to finally kickstart a savings habit, while 12% said they would start investing for the first time.
