2 January 2015

Do you know a teacher who is going above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to personal finance? If so, we’ve got just the competition for you.

Because Moneywise believes financial education is such an important subject for all schools, we’ve teamed up with to find the country’s best personal finance teacher. The winning school will win £5,000 worth of equipment.

From 1 January, schools, teachers and parents can nominate who they think is deserving of the prize at our new competition website As soon as their nominations have been verified by Moneywise, the teacher(s) will then have until April to upload their entries and demonstrate why they should be crowned Moneywise Personal Finance Teacher of the Year 2015.

We want your entries to be as creative as possible. While we will accept written lesson plans and learning outcomes as evidence of how the subject matter has been brought to life, we also encourage you all to think big. Perhaps you could make a video of you teaching your pupils, or an audio recording explaining why you deserve to win. The more original your entry, the better!

All the entries will be reviewed after the competition closing date of Friday 10 April and a shortlist of the best will be put forward to a public vote during the month of May. The entries of the three schools and teachers who receive the most votes will then by judged by a panel made up of Moneywise, Pfeg and
