Black Friday takes place on 28 November 2014, the day when shoppers across the UK will hit the shops to find the best Christmas bargains, though many of this year's deals continue into the weekend and beyond.
You can read all about Black Friday in our Q&A, but here we've rounded up some of the best deals so you can kick-start your present shopping early.

The online retail giant launched its week of Black Friday deals on 24 November, and at the time of writing has already offered the likes of Philips Sonicare rechargeable electric toothbrushes at 70% off. It is also discounting its own tablet: the Kindle Fire HDX is being slashed in price by up to 50% (for example, the 7" 16GB wi-fi version can be bought for £99 instead of £199).
Some of the other deals available on day one included: 48% off a GPS pet tracker, 63% off a Raymond Blanc cookware set, 40% off a Doc McStuffins game, and 34% off a retro Singer sowing machine.
Special offers are also promised on the likes of: Xbox One bundles; Sony 48-inch TVs; Canon DSLR cameras; Nokia Lumia smartphones; Le Creuset cookware; Philips shavers; Johnnie Walker whisky; plus Disney Frozen and Marvel Avengers pyjama sets.
Argos is offering Black Friday dicounts off a huge range of products as well as a free £5 voucher when you spend £50 and a free £10 voucher when you spend £100. Discounts include: £70 off Sony bluetooth headphones (now £29.99); £100 off a Toshiba 4GB 1TB laptop (now £249.99); a half price Krups coffee machine (now £39.99); and £200 off a Sony 40" HD LED TV (now £299.99).
Asda has finally unveiled details of some of its Black Friday deals. They include: a Panasonic 40" TV for £139; Polaroid tablets for £79; Beats Solo Monochromatic headphones for £79; Xbox 360s for £99; a Barbie Fantasy Castle for £45; and many other discounted toys and games. However, the bargains are only available in-store.
Tesco is yet to publish any details on its deals.
In-store deals available all day on 28 November. The best deals include: 50% off a Karcher window vac (£50 instead of £100); a Bosch pressure washer for £72 instead of £145; an 18v Makita drill for £72 instead of £102; and a half-price Stanley toolbag (£10 instead of £20).
The healthcare retailer is celebrating Black Friday and Cyber Monday with a wave of deals available for four days from 28 November to 1 December. The best offers include Braun Series 3 - 340s Wet and Dry Electric Shaver at £41.99 instead of £99.99 (saving £58); and a John Frieda Salon Shine 5125BU AC Hairdryer - exclusive to Boots for £29.49 instead of £59.99 (a saving of £30.50).
The telecoms firm is offering 58% off the annual cost of unlimited broadband and weekend calls packages, until 1 December; as well as 49% off the annual cost of its unlimited BT Infinity 1 broadband and weekend calls package. New customers will also receive a £50 Sainsbury's gift card.
The retailers is offering a solid range of discounts on Black Friday only. These include: £100 off a Hotpoint washing machine (now £199); £75 off a Delonghi coffee machine (now £24.99); £300 off an LG Frost freezer (now £299.99); 10% off all printers; and £80 off any Apple iMac or MacBook.
Its deals are available online and in-store.
The retailer is offering plenty of deals on 28 November, with some cracking offers on toys and games. We like the 40% off Lego's Duplo Creative Building Cube (£15 instead of £25) and VTech's Baby Discovery Cube (£30 instead of £50).
The mobile phone firm is offering 20% off all pay as you go phones under £150 on Black Friday only.
The fashion retailer is offering 50% off everything in-store on Black Friday only.
The popular fashion retailer has up to 20% off everything on 28 November only. This tkaes the form of 10% off £25, 15% off £50 and 20% off £75. Available in-store and online.
House of Fraser
Up to 40% off womenswear and menswear, up to 50% off bags and luggage, up to 30% off kidswear, and up to 20% off shoes and electricals until midnight on 30 November.
It is also offering 10% off beauty items until midnight on 28 November (however, this does not include the following: Creed, Molton Brown, Mac, WIld About Beauty, Jo Malone, L'artisan, Destination Skin, Jason Shankey, and Estee Lauder.
The respected retailer has unveiled hundreds, if not thousands, of Black Friday deals as well as a price match promise on high street competitors. Some of the best deals are on Apple products, including: £30 off the iPad Air, £100 off iMacs, £50 off the iPad Mini, and £100 off MacBooks.
Other notable discounts include up to £500 off appliances such as a FIsher & Paykel fridge), £30 off a Nest thermostat, £100 off Canon digital cameras, and up to £300 off hi-fis and radios.
The online travel shop is offering four- and five-star hotels for £5 a night, as well as flight and hotel city breaks from £69 and 50% off selected spa and gift experiences - until 2 December.
Shoppers can get 30% off everything on 28-30 November.
Marks & Spencer
M&S is celebrasting Black Friday and Cyber Monday with four days of discounts, offering up to 30% off selected items. This includes women's Christmas jumpers for £20 instead of £25, men's moleskin trousers at £24.50 instead of £35, heavily discounted kidswear and even discounts on wine and hampers.
Buy a copy of tabloid newspaper The Sun today (Thursday, November 28) to get a £5 off coupon for fruit and veg providing you spend over £10 in store. The offer runs until Sunday.
Nectar is offering double points when you make purchases with Debenhams, Disney Store, Game, Gap, House of Fraser, Lego, O2 Mobile and Topshop from 27 November to 5 December. The dame deal is on offer at Nike, Next, and Swarovski from 28 November until 5 December.
It's offering triple points at Red Letter Days and Selfridges from 21st November until 5th December. The same deal can be had at Boden, Clarks, Currys, Dorothy Perkins, The Fragrance Shop, PC World, Play.com, Toys R Us, and Virgin Experience Days from 27 November until 5 December; and at Accessorize, Crabtree & Evelyn, Matalan and Monsoon from 28 November to 5 December.
Finally, you can get quadruple points at The Body Shop and Harvey's Furniture from 27 November to 5 December.
This online shop window for an incredible range of home-made, artisan gifts and goodies is offering 30% or more off thousands of items on Black Friday only.
The broadband provider is offering 12 months' free unlimited broadband (worth £9.99 a month) plus a £75 Amazon gift voucher, from 28 November to 1 December. You only have to pay line rental, at £15.95 a month - or £12.99 a month if paid annually. Visit plus.net for more.
The supermarket is running a Black Friday across 485 stores. The best discounts include: Dyson DC24 vacuum cleaners (down £160 to £159.99); Blaupunkt 40" TV (down £150 to £149.99); and a Dolce Gusto Mini Mi coffee machine (down £60 to £39.99).
The cashback shopping site is offering new members the chance to get a copy of Disney's Frozen on DVD for free, via Amazon, if they sign up before 30 November. However, bear in mind that, while the DVD itself is free, you will pay postage and packaging of £1.49 (although if you add other things to the order to make it over £10, postage will be free).
The fashion retailer is offering up to 50% off selected lines, including: suede boots; parka jackets; velvet jumpsuits; jumpers; dresses; skirts and blazers. The most popular items include a Harrington Wool jacket (£45 instead of £70), a denim shift dress (£56 instead of £80), and a faux fur collarless coat (£60 instead of £89).
Up to 75% off on the day.
Likewise for online catalogue retailer Very, which is allowing customers to register for emails about Black Friday deals at its website.
It promises: "You're going to be getting your hands on some amazing deals on the season's most wanted gifts and fashion for loads less so don't miss out. Very's Black Friday deals are going to be some of the best around so you really don't want to miss this."
It's worth noting that the firm offers free next day delivery.
