If you or a relative has been paying for long-term care, you may be able to claim back the fees - but you need to act fast.
The NHS has been wrongly charging patients long-term care funding when it should have been paying the whole cost.
This applies to anyone who needs continuing healthcare, which can be provided in residential care homes or in their own home.
Families who think they have been wrongly charged for paying for nursing or other health-related costs between 1 April 2011 and 31 March 2012 now have just seven weeks to claim, as the Department of Health has announced that any new claim must be registered before 31 March 2013.
If you believe that you or a member of your family should have been assessed for eligibility, contact your local Primary Care Trust - visit nhs.uk for details.
