Good customer service is like gold dust. Which is why we are delighted to announce the shortlist for Moneywise's third annual Customer Service Awards, which recognise the most trustworthy and reliable financial services companies in the UK.
Many of Britain's biggest financial service providers have failed to win customers' trust while smaller firms, mutuals and new players continue to attract praise for their service, according to Moneywise's latest Great British Customer Service Survey.
This is particularly apparent in the current account sector where all the big four banks - HSBC, Barclays, HBOS, and Santander - are conspicuous in their absence.
On the back of the survey, Moneywise today announces the shortlist for its third annual Customer Service Awards, which recognise the most trustworthy and reliable financial services companies in the UK.
Over 12,000 of you voted, making it the biggest customer service survey about financial providers in Britain.
Johanna Gornitzki, editor of Moneywise, says:
"The survey, the largest of its kind in the UK, shows yet again that Brits no longer have any faith in the high street giants with almost all the larger providers failing to make the shortlist.
"It's time companies start to provide good service to their customers, and focus on building relationships based on trust. The result from our latest Customer Service Survey should serve as a wake-up call to those companies that still fail to deliver."
The winners will be revealed on the 24 June.
