I did not vate in order to get gruesome Gordon back in power. If a man like him can get to the position of Prime Minister in our country then there is something seriously wrong with our system
I HAVE £15.000 TIED UP IN LAND TO BE BUILT ON DOWN MAGNA PARK ,LUTTERWORTH,WITH A HUNG PARLIMENT WILL IT EVER GET BUILT ON SO I CAN GET MY RETURN ?AND AS A SAVER WILL INTEREST RATES START TO GO UP WHICH WOULD BE GOOD FOR ME AS SAVERS ARE LOOSING OUT,
Geoffry, obviously you are not old enough to remember what previous Tory governments have done TO and not FOR this country.
Hope it will get through to the POLITIANS that we believe that none of them are fit to run the country.
Would you prefer Dire David?
Sadly, David Cameron made the biggest possible mistake by agreeing to take part in the TV debates. At that time he had a 12 points lead over Labour and the Lib Dems were nowhere - but he did not anticipate the stupidity of the electorate in being convinced by the "charms" of Nicholas Clegg - and many switched their vote to the Lib Dems.
The conservatives got the highest percent of votes, so Cameron should be in Downing St, otherwise this is not a Democracy. The majority of people want Labour out, curbs on immigration, less EU interference. The Libs got less votes because of this. I hope they will be sensible and assist Cameron to get Brown out as soon as possible.
The conservatives got the highest % of votes.....so what! 65% voted for other parties and a coalition of those is infinitely preferable to a Tory government. Can you imagine a group of Eton toffs with no experience of how the majority of us live running the country. No thanks.
Bloodaxe is completely wrong. Bring on a coalition of the 65%!
ERH
I, and I assume a lot of other people, did not vote for the political parties to choose who will run the country. If that is the case, the country could have saved itself a lot of money by not having a general election. The pundits say that we ( the voters) voted for a hung parliment, I certainly did not vote for a hung parliment. We should have another election as soon as is possible, but I suppose we have to waiting for Gordon Brown to resign properly ( I mean tomorrow) before that happens
If you want to apply that logic, 70.9 % voted for other parties than Labour. The Conservatives are the only major party who will do anything to cut immigration and curb the EU ruling us.
I am old enough to remember what fabulous good the Thatcher conservative government did do for the economics of this country. On the other hand, every Socialist government throughout history, in the UK and elsewhere, have long-term proved to be a disaster and have departed only to leave their incompetent mess for the Conservatives to clear up. Deja-vu.
Until all polititions understand that any government that does not have a sound Spiritual, Godly attitude based on Biblical principles, they will all struggle to put the country on a sound footing. In fact they won't.
I had been looking forward to Gordon Brown resigning.
I had been looking forward to David Cameron becoming Prime Minister.
I did NOT vote for the Conservatives to 'sell out' to the Lib Dems and feel very let down.
I am praying that the coalition doesn't work and we have another General election very quickly.
The wishy washy Lib Dems know they never have a chance of getting in which is why they have agreed to the coalition as it's the only way they would ever have any power.
All parties fight an election under the same rules.
Lib dems don't get in because people don't want them.
I wish they would just shut up about proportional representation, it's pathetic the way they go on and on about it.
Well for all our sakes guys..lets hope the new prime minister helps improve britain for us all.
