I always start off using comparison websites but invariably end up going direct to a company for a better rate especially in the case of Car and Home insurance as I have previous information to bargain with, it sometimes works out very much in my favour
I always use comparison websites for car insurance but I have never shopped around for bank accounts or credit cards. I have been with the same bank since I was a kid but know I should look elsewhere for better rates etc because loyalty just isn't rewarded.
Pretty much all the time for anything financial, car or home insurances or any of the utilities - dont always go with the comparisons, but its a good place to get an idea from.
Mrs H, Southport.
I always use the internet to compare prices for home insurance, savings rates, gas and electric, and everything really including purchasing products to get the best value.
The internet is always a good starting point from which to make comparisons, but is not always the answer and I therefore invariably use all other options available to me as well.
