The shopping website that hunts out the best price for you
A website has been launched that tracks products you want to buy then alerts you if they hit the price you want to pay.
Stuffster.com is another site that hopes it will change the way we shop as it allows buyers to add anything from designer clothes to gadgets from around the internet to an online shopping basket.
For each item, buyers can set an ideal price and Stuffster will monitor any increases or decreases and alert them if it falls within their budget.
Advertised as a price-drop alert service, Stuffster says consumers can capitalise on daily, online price fluctuations of up to 17.5%.
Shoppers must sign up to Stuffster, then install a +STUFF button onto their browser's bookmarks. When they find something they're interested in, the +STUFF button will add it to their Stuffster page where they can set a target price for how much they want to spend. Stuffster will alert the shopper if the item falls to that price.
Research by the website shows fashion, beauty and technology products saw the biggest price drops over December and January.
Keir McConomy, chief executive officer at Stuffster, says: "Retailers often adjust prices of products multiple times per day based on supply and prices can fluctuate by as much as 10-30% in the same day, and flash sales with big savings can happen suddenly."
You don't have to pay anything to sign up to the website.
