Marks & Spencer customers can get £5 off in return for donating old shoes, boots or bags.
The 'Shwopping' event - which runs until Wednesday 17 October - is part of a campaign against landfill being run by the retailer and the charity Oxfam.
Customers handing in old or unwanted shoes, boots or bags to their local M&S store will receive a £5 discount when they spend £35 or more on the same product categories.
Shwopping is Marks & Spencer's clothes recycling initiative where customers can donate any item of clothing, of any brand, to be re-used, resold or recycled by Oxfam.
Get Shwopping
Joanna Lumley, who launched Shwopping in April this year, says: "We're determined to give every item of clothing a future and help some of the world's poorest people in the process.
"So, dig out those old shoes, boots and bags you haven't worn for years and give them a new lease of life. Get Shwopping!"
The campaign aims to put an end to the one billion items currently ending up in landfill every year.
