Why commuting is bad for your health as well as your wealth
British city slickers are putting their lives at risk 32 times a week as they travel to and from the office, research from insurer LV= has revealed.
LV= also found that more than 1.7 million of us have been injured during our commute, to the extent we’ve needed time off work (anything from a day to more than six months).
I can quite believe it.

Car insurance: The unfair game of cat and mouse
Another year and another game of cat and mouse with my car insurer to get a decent price for renewing my policy. I share my insurance with my fiancé. We have a five-year old Ford Focus, currently worth about £2,700, and last year our policy with Admiral cost us £550. To renew it for the next 12 months, Admiral wanted us to cough up another £100.

'Sorry you were out'. No, sorry, you're out of touch
I’ve just turned 29. That means one thing. I’ve just spent an awful lot of time walking back and forth and queuing up outside my local Royal Mail sorting office to collect my parcels.

How could I have missed a payment?
I’m a sucker for 0% purchase credit cards. Ever since I arrived in London as a fresh graduate in 2006, I’ve always had a flexible friend.

Guaranteed delivery? Pigs will fly
Did you do anything nice to celebrate Father’s Day? I had to hang my head in shame and apologise to my Dad for my card being a no-show.

A real sticking point
I'm 28 and I've just become a stamp collector! I have just bought 200 second-class stamps for a whopping £72.

Suckers for love
I would have to say that this year's Valentine's Day will be my best one yet. Why, I hear you ask? No, i'm not expecting to wake up to a dozen red roses. Nor am I being whisked away to Paris. But I am engaged to be married. My boyfriend is now my fiance, I have a beautiful ring and hopefully we're going to live happily ever after.

A right Royal rant
OK, so Christmas is coming. That means one thing. T'is the season to queue up for hours in your local Post Office!
