The Fund invests at least two-thirds of its assets in shares of smaller companies in the US or companies that have significant operations there. The smaller companies that the Fund invests in will typically have a market value of US$ 500 million to US$ 10 billion at the time of purchase. The Fund may also invest in asset classes and instruments different from those stated above. |

|Nicolas Janvier||01/11/2015||Nicolas Janvier is a portfolio manager for Columbia Threadneedle Investments. Mr. Janvier was based in the U.S. from 2001 to 2014 as an associate portfolio manager with primary focus on mid-, smid- and small- cap products and currently works with the team in the UK. Mr. Janvier joined one of the Columbia Threadneedle Investments legacy firms in 2006 and has been a member of the investment community since 2000. Previously, Mr. Janvier was a portfolio manager with The Private Bank at Bank of America in Palm Beach, Florida for four years. He was previously an account administrator for U.S. Trust Company of California and an investment associate for U.S. Trust Company of Florida. Mr. Janvier received a B.A. from the University of Florida. In addition, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. |
|Diane Sobin||31/03/2012||Diane Sobin joined the company in 2011 and has led the US Equities, EMEA team since 2014. She manages the Threadneedle American Select Fund, the Threadneedle American Smaller Companies Fund and the Threadneedle US Equity Income Fund, as well as a number of institutional US equity mandates. Diane also co-manages the Columbia Mid Cap Value Fund. In addition, she is a key contributor to the team’s macroeconomic and thematic research and has coverage leadership for companies in the energy and industrials sectors.
Diane joined Columbia Management in 2011, having previously held portfolio manager roles at ZurichScudder, JP Morgan, Oppenheimer and Dean Witter Reynolds.
Diane was named in Financial News 100 Most Influential Women in European Finance in 2014.
She has a Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance degree from Pace University, New York. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. |
