eBay

is anyone else really annoyed about eBay stopping sellers being able to leave feedback about buyers? apparently because trading has slowed downdue to disagreements between buyers and sellers over feedback, yet buyers willstill be able to leave feedback about sellers!!

I’ve been a regular eBay user for many years, and read andleave feedback for each transaction I make. Surely thisis a vital partof the eBay process for quick and reliable transactions and to spot users who abuse the system so they can be avoided.

What happens if a buyer is slow to pay or doesn’tcommunicate? Sellers need to be able to leave feedback if this happens. eBay is two-way so I think both parties need to be able to give honestfeedback, whether good or bad, otherwise what’s the point in having anyfeedback at all?

On the one occasion when I left negativefeedback though, the buyer got in touch with me to ask that I remove it! I refused toon the grounds it was completely true and fair. EBay users need some incentiveto play by the rules.

What do other ebay users think?

I don't use ebay much but the feedback on sites like Amazon sometimes make all the differene between me buying a book or not... sometimes though I think the feedback is a bit suspect - same on those restaurant sites, you just know that the waiters are asked to put good stuff up there!
You're right, thought, about ebay it's got to be a two way thing otherwise there is less protection for sellers.

Would it actually put you off selling something though? I will still use ebay when I have something to sell, and am personally more concerned about getting the right price rather than the buyer's history.

Are you sure about this Richie1? I gave feedback on a buyer today! When does it come in? I'm with you if it's true. Although I suppose you don't chose who buys off you so it can't help you as much as a seller review.
