I would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of this company or has investments with them.

I understand they have recently moved office to Aruba and have now changed name to

Seisma Energy Research AAV

Many thanks, George......

Hi - Seisma Oil Research are listed on the FSA's warning list of unauthorised overseas firms operating in the UK

It warns: "Such firms are often involved in ‘boiler room’ activities and pose a high degree of risk to consumers... If you are cold-called by an unauthorised overseas firm in relation to stocks or shares, you should be extremely careful – the most effective protection against such unauthorised firms is to have nothing to do with them."

You can see the list here fsa.gov.uk/pages/Doing/Regulated/Law/Alerts/overseas.shtml

I hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply, it was much appreciated.

I'm sorry to say I invested in this company back in 2007. I did carry out research into the company but obviously not enough. I have retained all the emails received (203) and the email business cards of their sales team since their first contact. I had no idea that their selling shares in this country was illegal. Is there any action I can take to recover my investment? Do you know of any other UK residents that have exprienced the same problem and how I might get in touch with them please?

Many thanks for you time.

FreyaIf you are thinking of investing in any company (not verified):

If you are thinking of investing in any company in this country get in touch with Trading Standards/OFT first as they are bound to know whether there have been any problems. Should also be registered at Companies house. If it is overseas leave it alone as nine times out of ten it is a scam, they should also have a base in this country if legal. I would think you have lost your money. Would probably be impossible to trace.

Guest (not verified):

I was a victim of the "boiler room" tactics and was led to invest all my money into oil and gaz projects, with seisma research sales staff. The very latest news is that if i cannot add another 10% i will lose my whole investment (nearly 7 fig)
I suggest that a few victims get together and find means to redressing the situation.

Guest (not verified):

I've bought into several oilfields, and after thinking initially that they were a good investment, I'm now having my doubts. Production on a couple of the wells is supposed to be starting soon, so I'll see if any income is forthcoming.

I'm sure there are hundreds of investors in Seisma in the UK alone, and no doubt all of them, like me, will have been subjected to the hard sales pitch of Nigel Bond, Phil Stearn and Victor Hadley. Their blackmail tactics used on me were scandalous!

Partners Enermax, Evans Energy and NeoFirma all seem respectable businesses and Bigger Badder Wolf oil well would appear to be paying out.

Only time will tell!

EWBT (not verified):

I also invested in seisma oil esearch (west janice # 3) to the tune of £5,000 I now consider it lost!

Hi,

For anyone interested there is an ever growing discussion on Seisma and their activities on http://hubpages.com/hub/Non-US-citizens-Investing-in-American-Oil-Gas-Re...

A number of seisma investors are looking into what group legal action can be taken through the aforementioned pages.

Larry (not verified):

To all investors that have invested in Seisma or Permian i hate to inform you that we have being all scamed out of our money.
If you all go www.hubpages.com and search Seisma you will find 20 odd articles, please click on the first article published by Jerome Middleton, please read all the posts here to discover the extent of this scam.
Jerome and I are asking all investors that have being scamed to contact us as we are in the process of starting legal action against Seisma and its industrial partners.
The more investors that we have with as much information as possible the stronger our case will be.

Any investor can contact me at : info@ifinance.ie

PLEASE DO NOT INVEST ANY MORE MONEY WITH THESE JOKERS, IF POSSIBLE START RECORDING YOUR TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS WITH THEM

Jerome Middleton (not verified):

I, along with many other investors are taking legal action against Seisma Energy Research AVV and their industrial partners to get our money back with damages. Do you wish to join us?

webby (not verified):

I have also "invested" a substansial amount of money in a couple of Seisma's projects. If there is a way that these funds or part of them can be retrieved I am willing to take part and pay to see these people repremanded. Anyone got a real way of doing this??

Guest (not verified):

Please e-mail me I am an investor like you but I am taking legal action

webby (not verified):

please contact jerome (post above mine)

Guest (not verified):

I am from Australia and I also have invested quite a substantial amount with this company - after doing some research on Enermax and Evans Energy I thought it should be OK as they seem quite reputable businesses but I am starting to think that this Seisma Oil Research Co is a scam. All I get from them are calls to invest more, pay money to the Carribean Stock Exchange in order to sell stocks or pay an extra $2,700 to secure LDA shares. I feel ridiculously STUPID...
Please count me in regarding group legal actions against these people. These were the people that contacted me: Nigel Bond, James Le May and Adam Greene.

Guest (not verified):

Hi Jerome

Please count me in - I am from Australia and if you know of others that are here who are willing to join together on a legal action against Seisma - please let me know.

I invested in West Janice No. 1 and West Janice No. 3 after due online research which convinced me they were sound investments. Promises of dividends never materialised and kept being pushed back further and further. Also finally told unless I invested more money then the values of my units were now worthless. I presume they moved registered address from Florida to Aruba to escape USA jurisdiction. James Le May, Colin Masters, Nigel Bond, Adam Greene and Michael Rose are the names of people at Seisma who have contacted me since making the investment. I would love to see these people get their just desserts.

I asked for a meeting with Jerome Middleton via his email and received no reply, I wonder why?

Guest (not verified):

Im from Australia too, same same dealing with frauds Nigel Bond, James Le May and Adam Greene...it hasnt sunk in yet. please include me in taking action!! i have a year of records!

Guest (not verified):

Yes please! i have a years records, i have been burnt big time. please let me know how to join in sinking seisma.

Hi Larry
I to invested in Seisma Oil over 12months ago in West Janis 1 and also 2
As you already know that no dividends have been issued ( don’t suppose ever will)
I have been ask for various interim payment over the last 9 months, “water disposal on two occasions, and to pay 5000 dollars into a Caribbean stock exchange two weeks later asking for a further 5000dollers
saying that the minimum dealings were 10,000 dollars if I did not pay this I would lose every think, (Have not paid) as all other investors l cannot afford to lose this sort of money.
I would like to be involved in bringing these scammers to justice.
Further to this I was informed by my Bank (high st Bank) that my account had been a target of
identity fraud and all but £18.54 had been removed and the souce went back to the payment I made through their German bank for water disposal I do not keep a lot of money in this account
just as well. my insurance company are on the case with the police.
Regards Ken

Seisma Oil Research is FRAUD.
They cheat, persuade and threaten people to invest more and more, but the pay-back which they promise, never comes. I confronted them with their lies in my long, final phone-conversation with them, and as it became clear to both them and me, that they practically had exposed that they are criminals, the guy on the phone suddenly dropped his formal businesslike language, and both he and his gang, who had been listening in the background, send me a long, roaring laugther as a "goodbye".
Please visit scamfraudalert.wordpress.com/.../seisma-oil-research-llc-unauthorized-to- conduct-business-in-london/ where hundreds of victims tell about their experience with "Seisma".

Abdul Mohammed (not verified):

I was scammed as well I have launched a complaint against them with the SEC gov complaints but want to take legal action to recover my money back. I will join you as I have kept all documents and emails trails.

They have defrauded me in the West Janice 2 & 3 project.

Regards

Abdul.

Guest (not verified):

i have invested into oil field "west janice" (no. ?). then i had to pay a charge for the water disposal machine they had to install.

last year i got several calls, each time from a different person. one said my money is lost and i could pay what i have paid to save what i have invested. that one claimed to be from a different company who allegedly has bought up seisma (or parts of). it became obvious to me that this is a scam.

but are their oil fields really all bogus?

Adrian (not verified):

I did invested USD$15K in McKenzie Draw JV project. I still hope that there is something true here. Otherwise I will feel like the most stupid f... guy on the world.

Guys, as with everyone on this page i have invested a considerable amount into this business after what i thought was a good deal of research. I have so far recieved nothing but more calls asking for additional investment. I have today informed them that i would be seeking legal representation so if anyone is truly looking into what can be done then i would be keen to support and take part.

Guest (not verified):

I am still being called on a daily basis asking for a futher payment or the account will no longer be mine and will be sent back to the driller and they have changed the bank account you pay to it is in germany this time.

tom mc henry (not verified):

I contacted the authorities at an early stage regarding Seisma but unfortunately they did not want to know. I alerted them when I got caught out with Future Power Industries and this was part of the same scam. You will see the link and my alert on the Fool discussion board..
I tried to shut them down but to my disgust no one would listen I also informed the F.S.A and the S.E.C. but again my warnings fell on deaf ears.
Something should be done and I have kept the paperwork I even mentioned them in a newspaper article in the U.K.

Hi, I'm from Tanzania and I invested in Seisma McKenzie Draw since 2008 till today I have not beeing payed and they have even stop calling me now

Guest John (not verified):

Please contact me atr my e-mail address, as I too am going about suing this Company.

Guest (not verified):

I invested in Seisma and have a similar story.

We are not alone as I have heard of lots of investors, some based in the UK and some in Oz who have had terrible boiler-room type treatment.

The last thing they told me and I stupidly sent more money was that they needed to sell my stake in the oil, by opening an account with SXC which would cost me $5000.

I sent the money as I thought they were a good company, but then received a call that they'd made a mistake and it would actually double the money to get the account open.

At this point I asked the risk involved and was told 'there is no risk' and that the money would be back in my account within a week.

That was 6 months ago and now no-one is answering my calls or emails.

The phone number in Aruba doesn't work.

I think I now realise that this company DO invest in the oil wells. However they do not had the dividend back to you.... They keep it.

The people who talk to you on the phone are not in Aruba either, as they call you using untracable computer IDs.

The founder of this company, Justin Soloman has loads of differnet websites all registered to his name and he interlaces them to get a good Google search return.

Some times you'll see a post from someone who says Seisma are good etc... Read the post carefully, they are all the same styles of writting, almost like they are posted by the same person.

Make no mistake this is a well organised scam. I say that because like me you'll feel stupid for having invested... Contact Jerome Middleton, let's floor them!

I have visited the South Braslau site in Texas with Justin Solomon and Robert Gaylord and met Lavon Evans of Evans Energy. The drill site is genuine and Lavon Evans told me he had invested in it.
Investing in oil wells is very risky. We were made aware of the potential gains to encourage investment, but the return is based on what comes out of the ground and unless one is experienced in the oil industry we haven't got a clue.
Should we (the investors) try to go directly to the drilling companies Enermax and Evans Energy to establish what is happening with our investment
The SXC shares are a different matter and by the sound of it there is some skulduggery going on. The shares were offered in place of half a unit in LDA providing we put some money towards the puchase and then the shares could be sold and we would be paid out. So far it has not happened.

I also have invested with seisma in both West Janice No 1 well and South Braslau No 1 well. to date I have not received any of the promised returns and am now investigating as I have not been able to login to the client information site.

John c (not verified):

After reading the list of comments on this site the realisation that I have been scamed is starting to hit home.
At this moment of time I would do any thing to get my money back as like most people I cant afford to lose it, near £30K
I would love if you could contact me to let me know what is happening.

Been scammed for £5000. There trying to get me to open the SXC share account for £5,000 to allow the sale of my unit for a huge profit.
It's all lies. I dont trust them or even people on the forums because you dont know who's who.
Be careful with people talking about taking legal action to recover losses. If they ask for money how do you know it's not the same people trying to scam you by pretending to take legal action against themselves?
They've moved to Aruba knowing that they can get touched (well not by law enforcement agancies anyway).

Anyway, Im a Royal Marine and heading to Aruba for some training exercises this year. Think I'll say hello.

I have invested as much as USD 345 000. I had some savings and
also borrowed from the bank. Now I have not been contacted for
1 month and they seem to have shut down completely. Nobody answers
the telephone, their homepage is gone etc.
Can anyone give some hope? I am 70 years old and feel so utterly stupid.
I am trying to contact Evans Energy and Enermax to see if they can give
some information.

THE WEST JANICE WELLS ARE NOT IN PRODUCTION YET, SO MAYBE THERE IS SOME HOPE. I PUT IN ALOT OF MONEY INTO THESE WELLS. NO ONE ON THE SITE HAS MENTIONED CONTACTING THE OIL COMPANIES DIRECTLY. I DID TODAY AND GOT A REPLY WE WILL CONTACT YOU SHORTLY.
YEAH I FEEL CHEATED TOO, BUT THEY WERE ONLY SHUT DOWN ON THE 17/3/2010. BY THE F.S.C. UNTIL THE 25/3/2010.
I LIVED IN THE STATES FOR A LONG TIME AND IF WE HAVE PAPERS TO SAY WE OWN SHARES IN AN OIL WELL THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WE CAN DO.
