With the devaluing of the pound and the Greek crisis, will you avoid spending your holiday in Europe this year, or do you think now is the best time to grab a bargain?

I was planning to go to Greece in September of this year but we will probbaly now cancel. Even if the costs do drop drastically, I still would not like to take the risk.

I wont be going abroad this year, not only because of the poor exchange rate of the Euro, but because I feel the tour operators and the airlines are ripping people off.

I'd be happy to go on an all-inclusive if I could find a bargain.

Agree with the last comment, and also the volcanic ash may cause more problems.

I am going to cut holiday this year. The problem is if you want to spend time in UK that is not much cheaper or in some cases works out to be more expensive for the same period. You can fly to Spain for £30 return- if you buy petrol for the same money how far are you going to travel? Despite weak pound you can still book accommodation cheaper in EU than in UK.

We're still holidaying in Europe but paying as much as we can in sterling before we go. We take our caravan abroad each year and have to pay campsite fees and food costs when we're there. This year I've booked sites through the Caravan Club and will pay for these in pounds before we go. We'll take more food with us than we've done in the past, so we don't have to buy as much while we're there. However, the increased costs won't stop us going to restaurants on some nights as that's part of the enjoyment.

i have already been a holiday this year in cyprus and it was a total rip off the accomadation was not as promised and neither was the food, for what i paid £700 for a week off season no way would i go back. i was glad i was all inclusive as the prices were way over the top it was even two euro for a packet of crisps no wonder people are staying at home it is just not worth what you pay
