I've finally got round to shifting my money out of ING and have opted for an account with IceSave. The rate is there or thereabouts in terms of competitiveness and I like the fact that it's guaranteed. However what has really annoyed me is that it seems you can only have one nominated acccount per customer.
My wife and I have opened a joint savings account which is linked to our joint current account, but we'd both like to open an ISA with Icesave too. However we can only link it to our joint current account rather than our individual bank accounts. That means every time I top up my ISA I have to transfer money out of my account into our joint current account first
Has anyone else come across this problem before?
ING may offer a lousy rate but it least it makes it easy for customers to hold multiple accounts and manage their money in a way that is convenient to them.
