Hi,

After
having a rather expensive quote from my dentist in England for an
Implant I decided to look into having one fitted on one of my many
trips to Altinkum. After making some enquiries and hearing some good
things about Ekrem Dogan's Dental Clinic we looked his web side
www.altinkumdental.com
and we send e-mail to him for ask everything what we want to learn
and he answered our all questions quickly and very gentle. My wife
and I visited his surgery in April this year. Ekrem Dogan's
dental clinic is a totally professional dental clinic. The staff is
very caring and made me feel very comfortable . After a consultaion
with him I decided to have an implant, 9 zirconium crowns/bridgework,
all my silver fillings replaced with white ones and my teeth
whitened. Before I knew what was happening my wife was in the chair
and had also agreed some bridgework/crowns, white fillings and teeth
whitening. There was no pain during any of the procedures.
Importantly, they all 'listened' to what we had to say. Our all
treatments are completed in
4 days which is unbelievable short time because he has his own
laboratory in his clinic.

Five days later we returned
to England with all the work done, all that remains is for me to have
the crown fitted to the implant in September and and I know that the
results will be just as amazing.. I can't tell you how please we are
with the results, We both wish we had done it years ago. Ekrem had
done an excellent job and a very reasonable price, I would recommend
him to anyone.' Ekrem is the best dentist I have ever
had in my life.

do you work for this firm or something?
Personally, Id rather get my dental work done here and pay a bit more rather than pay to go overseas

I am not workıng now, I am retired. I only wanted to share with people how happy İ am about my choıce of dentist and of course his prıces!

I am living in England but I also have an apartment ın Altinkum, Turkey. After having a very expensive quote from my usual Dentist in England , I decided to do a little research and found this Dentist Ekrem Dogan in Altinkum very convenient especially having an apartment there and spending many holidays.

So İ just wanted to say if you decide to have dental treatment done at a fraction of the cost of England, why not do as İ dıd and combıne it with a holiday they will work around you and your time so you also have your holiday, best of both!!!!!

Do you know if he offers a free consultation and full opg x-ray? If not, what are the costs? and what is after-care guarantee? i.e what happens in event one is not satisfied with final treatment be it physical -pain, or appearance (cosmetic) will he re-do it?

How much control do you have over the final look of the zirconia crowns -can you have a pre-fitting check to check colour, shade finish and make any final adjustments before they get cemented? Reason I ask there are so many well advertised dental holiday companies about now that seem to emphasize on price savings against UK (private) dentists not NHS prices which are much lower anyway with a full guarantee but what they do not seem to guarantee is your satisfaction if treatment doesn't go to expectations.
I say this as I visited a european dental holiday clinic and not satisfied with the result -unfortunately theres no come back without paying for a course of whole new treatment and flights again -which defeats the object of money saving in the first place.

Would appreciate some more info. on the crowns and prices of Zirconia crowns and their outlook on post treatment problems.

I highly recommend another turkish dentist, called Sevil Pekmezci (Gentle Dental Turkey). While I was getting treatment there were two guys from the uk both getting what I would call a full new set of teeth! After talking to them they had full zirconium crowns, they had researched treatment in many eu and non eu countries. I asked them similar questions about quality and satisfaction. They were impressed with the final look, and after talking to other patients she is very well respected. Personally after having treatment from Sevil I would never have treatment in the UK after having terrible treatment in the Royal Air Force. Cost aside I would pay more for her quality treatment and the fact of not having to wait weeks or months to be seen. To settle your nerves there is a testimonial book in her waiting room full of satisfied english patients who have made the journey to have treatment abroad, this settled my nerves and her nice eyes! Worth checking her clinic out www.gentledentalturkey.com

Whilst there are a number of dental practices in Altinkum, I am not sure I would want to visit a dentist because of someone's eyes to put me at rest!!
As anyone knows, dental work, if not carried out properly can cause pain and discomfort beyond measure.
I cannot recommend Ekrem highly enough. And no, I don't work for him!
His English is good, as is the English of all the other dentists that work there.
I have had work carried out by him and his staff, plus I have recommended a number of friends to his practice, and I have never been let down by him.
Ekrem always tells his patients that should there be any problem, he will correct it, free of charge.
His surgery has three rooms, with 2 chairs in each room, soon to be 4 rooms, he has an in-house x-ray room and a technical lab above the main surgery floor for all manner of dental manufacturing processes.

I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've found that, making a good comparisson of the dentists around Europe, that on a price/quality you'd better go to the Netherlands. There's a much higher level on technique, knowledge and most of all experience. Even the costs are compared to Turque and Hongary quite competitive. And when you take the travel costs and time in it the overall picture is that the Netherlands are very attractive for dental treatment.
As a part of a comparison reseach on dentist in Europe (unpublished data) I also compared some leading practices and found a few with a very high succes rate, CPI at Alkmaar and Dental Care in Eindhoven (yes, both in the Netherlands).

Sure, nobody has ever doubted about the dutch dentists ability, but if the nice chap has a holiday apart in Altinkum, or just anyone who likes to holiday there, happens to come accross a good dentist who doesnt charge an arm and a leg, why not take advantage of it? Because he/she s turkish or what......???? I dontget it Nootna. Please explain. Are you a dutch dentist in serch of patients???

My husband and I just arrived back from Altinkum after having all our teeth worked on by Sevil Pekmezci. I had 4 bridges and the remainder of my teeth were crowned. My husband had 4 implants and crowns. Dr. Sevil was fantastic, very professional and has done an amazing job with our teeth. We will be going back there later this year as my husband still needs some work carried out to finish off his implants. Don't worry about the language barrier, Dr. Sevil's English is perfect.
We stayed in a fantastic hotel, all inclusive. Anyone can combine a holiday with dental treatment at a fraction of the price that it costs in the UK. Dr. Seville also arranges to have you picked up from the hotel and you are then returned after your treatment, all at no extra cost.
What a service and what wonderful treatment. There is nowhere in the UK that you will get a service like this, I think that other Brits should start visiting dentists abroad that are recommended, it might just make some of our greedy grabbing dentists drop their prices.
